PharmaPrise services ltd is an outsourcing and consultancy agency to support the pharmaceutical business in Ghana to improve their business management capabilities and performance. Many players in the industry especially in the commercial sector do not have the resources to employ the full complement of staff to meet the demands of modern pharmaceutical business. PharmaPrise is made up of experienced and knowledgeable people with expertise in pharmaceutical marketing, regulatory affairs and competency development that are able to help improve the business performance and entrepreneurship skills of people in the pharmaceutical business.

The founder

PharmaPrise was founded by Mr Menu Otuo, who is himself a pharmacist and an entrepreneur. Menu worked 23 years with the pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), starting as a medical representative and rising to become their Country Manager for Anglophone West Africa (excluding Nigeria). His work with GSK gave him extensive exposure and insights into the global pharmaceutical industry and how things work. Having led the Ghana business for 5 years making GSK the most patronised pharmaceutical company by both healthcare professionals and patients alike (according to Sanisphere report 2013), his commercial competency is acknowledged by his peers. He believes that for any business to be successful, you need competent people and this can only be achieved through proper talent development. He also says modern business is about strategy and execution as well as being nimble.
